For sale is a used AXYZ 4010 model CNC Router Machine, this machine has to be seen to be appreciated, installed in 2018 it has done around 20-30 hours of actual cutting/work. Fully specced costing in excess of £55k, these are now in the region of £60-78k new.

The 4000 series from AXYZ is arguably the most popular and versatile machine in the industry. This one was specced to cope with increased demand and to work with a variety of materials including Wood, Metal and Plastics and Corian.

Single piece fully welded tubular steel base construction including levelling feet and caster wheels. Extruded aluminium table top with zoned vacuum and T slot clamping system. Dual rack & pinion drives on X axis with linear rails and bearings. Single rack & pinion on Y axis with dual profile linear slides and bearings. Z axis driven by ball screw.

Tool Tip Sensor for fast and accurate setting of tool lengths. Machine toolbox with tools for basic machine maintenance.

From new only a few of the tools have been used and all come with it, please see last image with the list of tools.

1C – 1Z ATC 10G

Single carriage with single “Z” axis with 10 tool automatic changer. The innovative AXYZ Automatic Tool Changer provides an effective solution to running jobs requiring multiple routing tools. They are loaded from below the surface of the table so it does not create interference with other tools mounted to the carriage of the machine. It is also capable of loading tools on multiple spindle machines from a single tool changer. Has been fitted with the extended length gantry.

 

10.8 HP Quick Release Spindle 

The 10.8 HP HSD Quick Release spindle incorporates high speed ceramic bearings for quiet operation and 4 pole construction to improve power output at low spindle speeds. A pneumatic quick release allows it to be operated manually or in conjunction with the ATC automatic tool changer. Spindle speeds can be varied up to 24,000rpm and tooling up to 18mm shank diameter can be fitted. Includes 3 ISO 30 cones and cover nuts.

Servo Drives – 4 drive 

The AXYZ Servo drive delivers high speed and high torque capacity with a planetary gear head transmission assembly. For high volume applications where cycle times need to be kept to a minimum the servo drive can help to boost productivity.

Helical Rack 

The helical rack drive option replaces the standard rack and pinion drives on X and Y axes. This offers superior high speed performance for quiet running, greater accuracy, smoother cutting and allows greater acceleration and feed rates to be used where required. Wear is reduced and life of the rack and pinion system is increased as a result of distributing the load over several gear teeth.

Pressure Foot – High Capacity 

The High Capacity Pressure Foot provides an efficient method of dust and swarf extraction to ensure a clean working environment. With reasonable suction, these pressure feet have been tested to remove most of the dust from MDF cut at production cutting speeds. The High Capacity foot can also be fitted with brushes as required.

Pressure Foot – Bellows Seal 

The bellows seal works with the High Capacity or the Universal 5Y pressure foot to enhance extraction in high dust environments. It promotes the generation of a cyclonic vortex within the pressure foot chamber and is effective on all types of materials.

Mucksucker 

The Muck sucker is a large capacity extraction system, with a very powerful motor system incorporated in the all-steel power head. It incorporates a cyclonic facility which allows the collection of substantial volumes of various materials and is ideal for use where heavy duty pick-up is required.

Safety Light Curtain (set) 

Safety light curtains reliably and cost-effectively protect against access into hazardous points and areas. These safety light curtains have built-in guarding, the narrowest exposed lens surface in the industry, and are designed with recessed impact resistant housings that prevent damage from parts, tools and equipment.

Corner Mirror Kit System 

This kit is for use with the Safety Light Curtain and allows the use of a corner configuration for the light curtain. Kit includes mirror, safety relay terminal and Class 2 power supply.

7.5kw Blower 

The 7.5Kw blower option is a low cost, high quality source for vacuum hold down on all AXYZ machines. It is perfectly suited for all general purpose cutting and engraving applications and can be used effectively on smaller cut parts as well as full size sheets. This blower is reliable, relatively quiet in operation and is able to run continuously if required. Price includes silencer.

Auto Gantry Squaring 

The Automatic Gantry squaring option enables the machine to be easily re-calibrated for gantry squareness as required by the operator.

A2MC Control System 

The A2MC Control system allows for much smoother and faster motion based on S-Curve (Seven Segment Velocity) trajectories. It is fully NC code compatible so it will work with virtually any known CAM package including Artcam, Type 3, Enroute, and more.
The A2MC connects to your existing network through TCP/IP protocols so file transfer is almost instantaneous from any workstation on your network.

Smart Console with E-Stop 

The new AXYZ Smart Console brings unprecedented ease of use, context sensitive menus, realtime display of machine status and many more timesaving, usability and productivity features. It provides a graphical preview and current status of a running job and allows program feeds and speeds to be changed without pausing the program.

This machine is currently fully installed so can be shown in demo mode working/basic operation with prior notice, you are welcome to bring you laptop and files to operate if you have knowledge & software installed or have another 4010 and are looking to expand, otherwise it will be a demonstration by ourselves.

The machine is still fully supported by AXYZ so this includes aftercare packages, servicing, installation and training. We have a forklift with extended forks as this was a requirement when installing.

We can support with removal/loading of the machine and will need to be discussed.

The 4m fence (yellow and black) at the back of the machine and 1m side panel is included as this holds the beam/mirror sensors and holder for the smart console. This was a £1700 option.

 

Software / operating system:

This is NONE transferable so you will need your own version, this was originally used with Aspire from Vectric and costs around £1800, there are other operating systems available to purchase at a cheaper price depending on usage.

Installation electrical requirements:

Connection made by using 2 x 32 Amp CEE Form 5 Pin Plugs protected by ‘”D’ rated MCB’S 440V, 3 Phase + Neutral + Earth supply. A direct online starter with overload protection must be provided for the vacuum pump. Earthing rod installed.

Having spoken to AXYZ the cost for 1 days installation and 2 days training is around £2,500, this is a separate cost to the machine if you require it and is not a requirement but advisory.
