The Hempel type FQBH is our fully automatic contour shaper with rotary table. Electronic and hydraulic operation and ideally suited for the production of brush backs, chopping boards, cheese boards, and other flat pieces of round, oval or irregular shape. Boards are roughly cut to the required size and planed to the thickness. Cutting is done with the grain of the timber carries out by two independently operated cutters rotating in the opposite directions. Template controlled with spindle speeds of 11,000 rpm and the machine can be fitted with either 20mm or 30mm spindles. Additionally, the table can be set to complete 1/2, 1, 1.1/2, or 2 revolutions each working cycle and if using thin pieces, then up to 6 blanks can be milled together at the same time. Maximum dimensions are diagonal 440mm and length 410mm up to 40mm thickness.
